The male Crowntail Betta brings striking definition to a planted aquarium: individual fin rays extend beyond the webbing to create the characteristic crown-like edge. This is an assorted-colour selection, so standard plain colour supplied will vary.

Why you'll love this Betta

Unlike female Crowntails, these males usually develop more prominent extended finnage; house males singly. Each is a distinctive centrepiece, best appreciated in a calm, well-planted setup with shaded retreat areas and clear surface access.

Care guide

Scientific name: Betta splendens, ornamental domestic form
Sale size: approximately 4–6 cm, subject to individual selection
Recommended tank: at least 20 litres for an individual, fully cycled, heated and fitted with a secure lid
Temperature: 24–28°C
pH: approximately 6.5–7.5; stability matters more than chasing an exact number
Temperament: territorial; males must not share a tank
Diet: quality Betta pellets supplemented with suitable frozen or live foods in moderation
Difficulty: beginner to intermediate

Habitat and compatibility

Provide gentle filtration, soft plants, resting leaves and unobstructed access to atmospheric air. Avoid strong currents and fin-nipping companions. Introduce tankmates only after considering the individual fish's temperament and available space.

Representative image: standard plain colour of the supplied fish may vary.

Colour selection: Standard/plain colours only (for example red, blue, turquoise, white or black), subject to availability. Koi, Nemo, Galaxy, marble, dragon-scale and other named premium pattern/colour forms are NOT part of this assortment and are listed separately. The pictured fish is representative, not a guarantee of an exact shade.

Very happy with my crowntail betta. Highly recommend Glass and Gill. I was able to collect my fish the same day in very good condition and packaged with great care. The team is super responsive and provided very helpful information.

Amazing services, Ashley was very helpful all the live stock arrived safely, he also provide a info on how to care and acclimate, the fish if you are a first time fish parent. All in all a 11/10 will definitely buy from Ashley again.
