Female Platinum Dragon Betta (Betta splendens). A colourful, short-finned plakat-type female characterised by a pale silvery-white metallic scales with a plated, dragon-like appearance; dragon-scale strain is not pedigree verified.

Important: Representative image — individual fish may vary in colour, markings and fin shape. The enhanced image is an illustrative render, not a photograph of the exact fish delivered. Marble or metallic patterns can change as fish mature.

Care and aquarium requirements

  • Adult size: approximately 5–7 cm
  • Temperature: 24–28°C
  • pH: approximately 6.5–7.5
  • Suggested minimum: 20 L for one Betta; more space and stable water are preferable
  • Water flow: Gentle flow and filtration; accessible surface air
  • Environment: Planted aquarium with shelter and resting places
  • Diet: Quality Betta pellets supplemented with appropriate frozen or live foods

Temperament and compatibility

Females can be territorial and individual personalities vary. Keeping female Bettas together is not automatically safe; monitor any introduction carefully and do not assume sorority compatibility. Avoid fin-nippers or aggressive tankmates.
