LIVESTOCK DOA

For livestock orders only: if livestock arrives deceased (DOA), submit the claim within 2 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the unopened bag, clear photographs of the livestock inside the bag, and your order number.

Approved DOA claims may receive a replacement or store credit at Glass & Gill’s discretion, subject to the policy terms. Non-livestock returns are handled under the standard returns policy.

A floating planting basket gives pond plants their own protected growing space without needing a shelf or fixed pot. This black circular design combines a buoyant outer ring with a deeper mesh pocket suspended below the water surface, so roots can access pond water while the planting area stays together.

It's a useful option for large outdoor Koi ponds, water gardens and dams where you want greenery without planting directly into the pond bed. The submerged pocket can help reduce disturbance from curious fish, although very large Koi may still push or damage an unsecured basket.

How to use it

  1. Position the floating ring in a sheltered part of the pond away from strong suction or spillways.
  2. Use a plant and growing method suited to the mesh pocket; the right planting medium depends on the species and the basket's buoyancy.
  3. Anchor the ring if wind, currents or fish movement could move it into equipment or an overflow.
  4. Inspect the mesh, attachment points and flotation regularly.

Important: This is the deeper hanging-pocket style basket, not our separate flat floating Koi plant-protection net. It is not a child-safety cover or a substitute for pond filtration. Do not fill the basket with a heavy volume of gravel or LECA without first checking the loaded buoyancy and capacity. Plants and growing media are not included.
