Hikari Cichlid Excel Medium 250g is a premium floating pellet food developed for herbivorous African cichlids and larger tropical fish that thrive on a vegetable-rich diet. The medium pellet format encourages natural surface feeding, while wheat germ and pure-cultured spirulina support digestion, healthy condition and vibrant natural colours.

Why choose Hikari Cichlid Excel?

Designed for herbivorous cichlids: a balanced daily diet with a high proportion of vegetable matter.
Medium floating pellets: approximately 4.5–4.8 mm, easy to observe while feeding.
Wheat germ: highly digestible ingredients to support nutrient absorption.
Spirulina: helps enhance natural fish coloration.
Stabilised vitamin C: supports everyday immune health.

Feeding guidance

Feed two to three times daily, offering only what fish can finish in a few minutes. Remove uneaten food and avoid overfeeding. Choose food based on your cichlids' natural dietary requirements; this herbivore-focused formula is not intended as the sole diet for strongly carnivorous species.
