Hikari Tropical Algae Wafers 40g is a scientifically developed sinking wafer food for plecos and other algae-eating bottom feeders. The vegetable-rich formula includes spirulina and chlorella, while the firm, disc-shaped wafers let fish graze naturally without the food rapidly breaking apart.

Why choose Hikari Algae Wafers?

Developed for plecostomus and other algae-eating herbivorous fish.
Contains vegetable ingredients, spirulina and chlorella algae.
Sinking, raised wafers suit bottom-feeding and grazing behaviour.
Firm texture helps limit rapid dissolving and water clouding.
Includes stabilised vitamin C to support fish health.

Suitable for

Many algae-eating plecos and other herbivorous bottom feeders. Check your fish's species-specific needs: some specialist plecos require more animal protein and should not be fed algae wafers as their sole diet.
