The Platinum Parrot Cichlid is a selectively bred ornamental hybrid prized for its pale white-to-platinum colour, compact rounded body, and inquisitive personality. Its unusual colour and distinctive parrot-cichlid shape make it an eye-catching centrepiece fish for larger tropical aquariums.

These fish are active, curious, and highly food-motivated. They spend much of their time exploring the aquarium, interacting with décor, and investigating movement outside the glass. Their bright platinum colour gives them a clean, almost luminous appearance under aquarium lighting.

Platinum Parrots are generally hardy once settled and can adapt well to a range of suitable tropical aquarium conditions, making them a rewarding option for aquarists who enjoy personable, unusual cichlids.
