For livestock orders only: if livestock arrives deceased (DOA), submit the claim within 2 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the unopened bag, clear photographs of the livestock inside the bag, and your order number.

Approved DOA claims may receive a replacement or store credit at Glass & Gill’s discretion, subject to the policy terms. Non-livestock returns are handled under the standard returns policy.

Red Parrots are active and inquisitive fish that quickly become familiar with feeding routines and movement around the aquarium. They often spend their time exploring décor, interacting with tank mates, and approaching the glass when food is expected.

Behaviour & Compatibility

Red Parrot Cichlids are generally semi-aggressive and may become territorial around preferred hiding places or during breeding-type behaviour. They do best with similarly sized, robust fish rather than very small or timid community species.

  • Medium-sized peaceful to semi-aggressive cichlids

  • Robust catfish

Avoid aggressive species likely to bully them, as well as very small fish that may be intimidated.

Red Parrot Cichlids suit aquariums with sturdy driftwood, smooth rocks, caves, and generous open swimming space. Their vivid colour looks especially impressive against darker substrates and deep green plants.

Use hardy plants and secure lighter décor because Parrot Cichlids may dig or investigate objects in the aquarium. Providing several separate hiding areas helps reduce territorial disputes.
